Care instructions

  • Ceramics

Our ceramics are best hand-washed and thoroughly dried. The glazes we use are all food safe but while they can hold hot liquids - extreme and sudden temperature changes may cause them to crack. Avoid putting them in the microwave or oven.

  • Tea

Once your tea has been opened it is best decanted into an airtight container. This way it will stay fresher much longer. Store the container in a cool and dark place to keep the most flavour in your tea. The bag is compostable but be sure to remove the valve first!

  • Body Oil

Our body oil is hand-blended with essential oils and no preservatives. The labels have cleverly been designed to restrict light, but they are best used within 6-8 months. To keep it as fragrant as possible for as long as possible, seal tightly and keep out of heat and direct sunlight.

  • Jewellery

While jewellery is hardy, for the sake of its longevity try to keep it away from water and chemicals including cosmetics, cleaning products and things like perfume. Try not to knock it against hard surfaces or to wear it when gardening, swimming or playing sport. Depending on what your piece is made from it may require slightly different care.

  • Sterling Silver, Brass & Bronze

A soft polishing cloth and some elbow grease should do the trick if your silver or brass is starting to oxidise and blacken. Brass in particular will form a natural patina on the surface when exposed to air, water or other chemicals. Over time we expect this and like the antique look but it can be polished away to restore its former shine.

  • Gold Plated

Our pieces are plated with 18ct yellow gold. It is best not to sleep in them or expose them to water or chemicals as this will wear away the surface more quickly. However, we only gold plate silver so over time the worst that could happen is still quite wonderful.
